‘Hygge’ (pronounced hoo-ga; Danish) means cozy and living simply and well, and enjoying the good things in life, a most apt name for the loftiest and squishiest of the Woolfolk yarns. Woolfolk yarn is made of Ovis XXI Ultimate Merino, from sheep raised on the Patagonian grasslands; all processes are in accordance with ethical, sustainable practices. The chainette Hygge yarn construction brings together merino, alpaca and silk, which makes the yarn airy yet plump, soft yet substantial, with an almost felted finish. At this weight, items knit up very quickly. Use for cowls and hats, and knit with larger needles for open-weave sweaters (or tighter for a arctic-worthy garments). There is very good pattern support from Woolfolk.
